About Pack 3728

Pack 3728 serves boys and girls in grades K-5 in the Savage and Prior Lake area. For our meeting schedule and locations, see the About page.

Our Mission

Cub Scouting helps kids build character, leadership, fitness, and citizenship through outdoor adventure and community service, guided by the Scout Oath and Law - living out values like trustworthiness, helpfulness, loyalty, and personal excellence.

Dens by Grade

Cub Scouts are organized into dens by grade level, each working toward its own rank:

Lion den insignia

Lion - Kindergarten

The youngest scouts explore Cub Scouting through fun, hands-on adventures alongside a parent or guardian as their Lion buddy.

Tiger den insignia

Tiger - 1st Grade

Still paired with an adult partner, Tigers explore nature, community helpers, and teamwork through their adventures.

Wolf den insignia

Wolf - 2nd Grade

Wolves start building independence, learning outdoor skills, fitness, and character.

Bear den insignia

Bear - 3rd Grade

Bears take on more advanced outdoor skills, science, and citizenship adventures.

Webelos den insignia

Webelos - 4th Grade

Short for “We’ll Be Loyal Scouts,” Webelos begin bridging toward Scouts BSA with more challenging outdoor adventures and leadership opportunities.

Arrow of Light den insignia

Arrow of Light - 5th Grade

The top Cub Scout rank, Arrow of Light scouts prepare to cross over into a Scouts BSA troop, including joining troop activities and campouts.

Lion, Tiger, and Wolf dens require an adult partner to attend meetings with the scout.

Rank Advancement

Scouts earn their grade’s rank badge by completing adventures from their handbook. Scouts advance based on their current grade level, not necessarily by having completed every previous rank first.

Adventure Loops & Pins

  • Lion through Bear scouts earn small metal adventure loops that slide onto the blue belt - completing 6 required and 2 elective adventures earns the rank badge.
  • Webelos and Arrow of Light scouts earn adventure pins instead, worn on the Adventure Colors patch or Webelos cap, with similar requirements.
